Reading the site

Comments
If you post a comment, we store the nickname you chose, the text of the comment and the time it was sent. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box when you submit; you may withdraw it at any time by asking for the comment to be deleted. We store the IP address only as a one-way fingerprint (hash) for a short period to protect the form from abuse; your address cannot be recovered from it. Before publication, the text of the comment is reviewed automatically by a language model (Anthropic, servers in the United States, EU standard contractual clauses). We keep comments for as long as the article exists, and for no more than 5 years.
E-mails to the newsroom
E-mails reporting errors or asking questions are kept while the matter is being dealt with and then for no more than 3 years in case of a dispute, on the basis of legitimate interest.
Your rights
You have the right of access to your data and the rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. Send your request to desk@kaitimes.com; we will deal with it within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz) or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.
Automated decision-making
Review of a comment by the automated system may result in it not being published. This is not a decision with legal effects; you may object by e-mail and the newsroom will review the comment again.
